Are you a technology, materials or manufacturing business based in Greater Lincolnshire? Do you want to access the latest analytical tools, or cutting-edge academic expertise? Would you like to network with like-minded colleagues from similar businesses, or learn more about the science that is at the forefront of new materials development? If you answer YES to any of these question then we want to here from you.

We are proud to announce that The Bridge project is now up and running. The Bridge is Lincolnshire’s Advanced Engineering R&D Centre and is the newest addition to the University of Lincoln’s initiatives to support our local businesses in the industrial technologies sector. Our specialities include analysis and characterisation of new functional materials as well as formulation science. We are underpinned by a wealth of spectroscopic, imaging and physical analysis tools.

Funded jointly by the European Regional Development Fund and the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership and backed by an existing consortium of opinion leaders from local industry, The Bridge will provide an environment to support SMEs and larger organisations alike to turbocharge their research and development operations.

Our new website details the technological areas in which we can support businesses, and as part of The Bridge’s operations we will be building a large consortium of local businesses from the engineering and manufacturing sectors. We also have free technical consultations and funded initiatives that enable access to expertise for significantly less than the normal cost.
