Nano Carbon Week 2026

Dr Matthew Thornton, Commercial Manager at The Bridge, chairs Nano Carbon Week 2026, a TechnoBiz Executive Forum on carbon nanotechnology and its industrial applications, held at the Green Park Hotel in Chennai on 22 and 23 September.

The programme brings together seventeen speakers across eighteen sessions, covering carbon nanotubes, graphene, advanced carbon black and hybrid nano carbon systems, and their application in tyres, rubber, polymers, composites, aerospace, construction, textiles and sensors. Speakers include Apollo Tyres, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, CSIR National Aerospace Laboratories, The Indian Carbon Society, NoPo Nanotechnologies, Levidian Nanosystems, TACC and Perpetuus Advanced Materials.

Matthew presents two sessions. The first, on the opening day, puts the materials in context and looks at where nano carbons have genuinely found industrial markets and where they have not. The second, on day two, draws on his time in graphene commercialisation to argue that surface chemistry decides whether these materials behave as a reinforcement or as an expensive defect.

The event is hybrid, so it can be attended in person in Chennai or online. Registration is open at events.technobiz.org.
