New Facilities and Capabilities brochure now available

The Bridge has published a new Facilities and Capabilities brochure, setting out what our laboratories and specialists can do for companies’ products, processes and problems.

Rather than simply listing equipment, the brochure is organised around the questions companies bring to us: what is it made of, what is it and has it changed, what does it look like up close, how is it structured, how does it behave with heat, how will it perform, and how can it be designed, modelled and made. Each section explains what the techniques tell you and where they are typically used.

The brochure covers more than 30 specialist instruments across eight capability areas, from elemental analysis and spectroscopy to electron microscopy, thermal analysis, mechanical testing and modelling, and now AI, automation and industrial data. It also sets out the ways companies can work with us, from a single analytical test to contract R&D, Bridge membership, training, and funded collaborations including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and student projects.

Our capability continues to grow, so the brochure will be updated as new instruments and services are added. The download link below will always give you the latest version.

If you are not sure which technique you need, that is fine. Tell us about the problem and our instrument scientists will recommend the quickest route to an answer. Contact us at bridge@lincoln.ac.uk.

You can also pick up a copy and talk to the team on the Bridge stand at the Great Exhibition of Lincolnshire on Wednesday 21 October at the Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground.
